Then there's all these stupid programs that want to have a process running to check for updates, or my HP printer wanting a bunch of crap running in the background, or a "Quicklauncher" like Acrobat Reader or OpenOffice install, or Google wanting to have their little program run to make sure that their toolbar is active, and all these other useless process that want their useless little icon polluting my taskbar. and that's just for stuff that I *want*. And more memory and clock-cycles for my little Samurize taskbar. And another few megs for the utility that switches my sound card from analog stereo to digital 5.1. I have a few more megs for Rivatuner to monitor my GPU, and another meg for CoreTemp to keep an eye on my CPU. Everybody wants their useless process to run at start-up. Everybody just wants a few megs for their bloated app.
